1. Information processed on device
After you grant access, Mementide uses the system photo service to read allowed photos, Live Photos, and regular videos, together with system-provided date, dimensions, duration, location if present, Favorite state, and media identifiers.
Photo similarity, observations, filter previews, rescue rendering, and video playback happen on device. Media is not uploaded to Mementide developer servers. Similarity and photo scoring do not process regular videos.
When original media exists only in iCloud, Apple system services may retrieve the resource required for your current request. This is not an upload to Mementide developer servers.
2. When the system photo library changes
- Browsing, comparison, and previews do not modify original media.
- Mementide changes a Favorite only after your explicit action.
- Saving creates a new copy; the original is not overwritten.
- Photos are submitted from deletion review. Videos are submitted only after you choose Delete Now. Both continue through system confirmation.
- Sharing hands the selected original or effect to the iOS share sheet only after you choose to share.
3. Local data and retention
Choice drafts, browsing positions, long-video resume positions, the recoverable Don't Show Again preference, and memory notes remain in the app sandbox so you can continue later. Unsaved derivatives use managed local storage or caches and are removed after completion, cancellation, reconciliation, or expiry.
Uninstalling removes this local app data. It does not reverse Favorites, saved copies, or deletion outcomes already managed by the system photo library.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Monthly and annual subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are provided through Apple StoreKit. Apple handles product presentation, purchase confirmation, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. Mementide receives no payment method and operates no developer order server.
The app reads Apple-signed product and entitlement states on device only to present plans, restore purchases, and unlock features. Entitlement state is not combined with media or notes and uploaded.
6. Your controls
- Choose Limited Access, update the allowed range, or disable Photos access in system settings.
- Undo local decisions, restore hidden videos, or clear notes in Mementide.
- Manage Favorites, copies, and Recently Deleted in Photos.
- Manage subscriptions and restore purchases through Mementide or your Apple Account.
Material processing changes will be reflected in this policy and App Store privacy information, with renewed consent where required.
